Photographing Nepal
In January 2022 I set off to photograph the Himalayas for 1 month. I knew that I wanted to make a film about my adventure and my process of photographing Nepal, however I knew at the time that I did not want it to be like most travel films which I have not found to be reflective of my experience traveling. In my experience, travel is slow, meditative, and surreal, and so, I wanted my films about travel to represent these feelings. Below is the series, I hope you enjoy.

Photographing California
In 2021 I set a goal for myself to photograph my home state of California in a way I only felt a native could. If I succeeded or not is up for debate, all that really matters is I am happy with the work this project produced and loved every second of making it.
Photographing Death Valley
Initially this was a part of my larger project of photographing California, however, the days I spent in Death Valley made me realize I couldn’t do it justice shoving it into another project. The place had an ethereal, warped, and trippy tone. A tone I wanted to convey in a more fluid way, to do this I used my gimble to capture footage in a sort of surrealist way where the perspective is shot through the eyes of someone trapped in a maze of rock they can’t escape from.
Photographing India
In the winter or 2020 I traveled for 3 months across many parts of Asia. I stayed in India for one month in March 2020 before having to return home due to the, um, plague. These two projects were a result of that time.
